05 December 2008 - 16:39 cozy-toasty According to weather.com, it's 52 F outside, but the local news channel here said it was 47 F. Either way, it's effin' cold. And as we're on our way out the door to work, the kids were hesitant, because, yeah, it's cold. Solution?"Let's toast our pants!" Yeah, they'd seen it years ago in an episode of Blossom. Blossom's reminicing with one of her brothers about how their mother used to toast their socks in the microwave on really cold days. Why not pants? And why not, on the stove? You can see where this is going. We have some underpants and Jack gleefully threw them over the hot glass stovetop. The instant they hit the glass, they start shriveling up. And we yank them away, but the damage is done. Apparently, a cloth blend of 50% polyester and 50% cotton can't take the heat. Ninja almost pissed himself laughing. The kids were broken-hearted, but BB comforted them, saying we have other underpants, and the material is thicker. But no more toasting our clothes! And now we're all ready to go, but had to come type this down. Kids are too goddamn funny, they are. |
